Jonah Kidd (b. 1995, Swindon, UK) is a creative technologist, multidisciplinary artist and software developer whose practice explores the intersection of sound, computation and visual systems. Working across software engineering, music technology and contemporary art, he develops tools and experiences that investigate algorithmic composition, generative processes and the relationship between structured systems and creative expression.

Originally trained in Film and Filmmaking, Jonah's practice has evolved through graphic design, moving image, sound and installation before arriving at software development as both a creative medium and a research methodology. He is currently expanding his practice into creative technology, focusing on modern C++, audio software development and computational approaches to composition, with a particular interest in indeterminacy, temporality and visual-input-driven sound generation.

Alongside his research, Jonah is developing a portfolio of modern C++ software projects, building interactive systems, game engines and audio applications as the foundation for a future creative technology studio specialising in VST instruments, audio plugins and generative music tools. His development process is documented publicly through technical writing and open-source projects, reflecting an ongoing commitment to understanding software engineering from first principles.

Professionally, Jonah currently works as a Consignment Consultant at COW Vintage, where he combines operational responsibility with systems thinking, developing internal workflows and bespoke administrative tools while maintaining an independent creative practice spanning music production, design and software development. This combination of technical curiosity, aesthetic sensitivity and practical problem-solving informs every aspect of his work.

Whether composing music, writing software or designing visual identities, Jonah approaches each discipline through the same underlying principles: clarity of structure, attention to atmosphere and a belief that carefully designed systems can become powerful creative instruments in their own right.
